Founder & CEO
Cryserica is a firm believer in Christ and the miracles that He works. Her favorite scripture comes out of Mark 11:24 "I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you've received it, it will be yours." This scripture is what has propelled her forward in her pursuit in making her dreams come true.
She is a member at New Living Word Discipleship Center where she serves in the Dance Ministry, as a Childrens Church teacher, and a Teens Ministry volunteer.
Cryserica realized how much she liked to move and began to actually train in modern dance at the age of 15 under the instruction of Gina Ellis at Renaissance High School. After graduating from high school, she began training in Hip Hop dance as a member of Believe3 under the instruction of Devaughn Ballinger. Shortly after, she became a member of A2D Dance Company in order to further her training in modern/contemporary, ballet, and jazz techniques under the instruction of Cheyenne Baker. She is also a co-founder of Ambiance Dance Team at the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, founded in 2016.
Alongside dance, Cryserica also does strength training 3-4 times per week to stay fit and is an active/committed member of Mad Miles Run Club in Charlotte, NC. Dance, strength training, and running alike contribute to her mental health as well as her physical health.
Cryserica is an alumna of the University of Michigan College of Engineering where she earned her B.S.E in Biomedical Engineering. She was hired at Abbott as a Field Clinical Specialist Trainee to learn the responsibilities of a clinical specialist. She currently works as a Clinical Specialist II within Abbott’s Neuromodulation division, specifically working with Spinal Cord Stimulation, Dorsal Root Ganglion Stimulation, and Radiofrequency Ablation therapies. Her responsibilities include educating physicians, staff, advanced practice providers, and patients, providing materials for SCS, DRG, and RFA procedures, overseeing trial procedures and implantation surgeries, programming/troubleshooting stimulators, and serving as each implanted patients representative for all things involving their therapy. Cryserica received both an employee spotlight for her ability to speak up and support/lead diversity initiatives as a new hire and a Powerhouse Award for her flexibility, support, and willingness to pinch hit when she was called upon in 2021. She was also a great contributor to her region, the Carolinas, receiving region of the year in 2022, as she not only worked in her territory, but was a huge help to other territories as well.
Cryserica is an e-board member of the NSBE Charlotte Professionals Chapter, having served as the 2022-2023 Pre-Collegiate Initiatives Chair and the current 2023-2024 Chapter President. She consistently works to provide programming and opportunities to local Charlotte, NC youth and bridge the gap between pre-collegiate and collegiate students. Prior to her current role, Cryserica served as Region IV Membership Chair and Pre-Collegiate Initiatives chair, and on the National and Atlanta Professionals PCI Committees. She is currently working on the Women in STEM and Black Business Network Leadership Team at Abbott to help plan for next year’s NSBE National Convention.
